Purpose of the website

Croatia Summer Camp website www.croatiasummercamp.com is one of Valamar's Platforms published as part of Valamar's Croatia Summer Camp project, which is a socially responsible sustainable family tourism initiative aimed at creating unforgettable summer experiences for children through a series of educational and entertaining programs, which serves as a one-stop-shop to present children's summer camps organized by external service providers – organizers. The aim is to foster creativity, diversity and high-quality standards in activities for children, thus creating not only the satisfaction of camp participants but also a positive social contribution, as well as enriching Croatia's tourism offer, while also contributing to family tourism.

How the website works

• For you who want to register your child in a children’s camp

EXPLORE - explore our selection of summer camps by clicking on the Camps box located in the upper right corner of the webpage. Read the available reviews to help you choose a camp more easily based on the experiences of other participants.

CHOOSE - filter specific conditions or browse various collections and locations on the map to choose the best camp for your children. Click on the box where there is information about the camp you are interested in to get more detailed information: About the camp – Accommodation – Schedule – Contact. Read carefully the terms and conditions of each camp!

REGISTER - Register your child for the camp of your choice: once you have chosen the camp, click on the Contact field and register by filling in and sending the form Your data or contact the Camp Organizer directly. If you have any questions, you can contact the Organizer. IMPORTANT! - By sending this form, you express your interest in the camp, but no obligation to pay is created!

• For those of you who want to get exclusive access to everything related to summer camps in Croatia directly to your inbox!

On the cover page, in the section NEWSLETTER, click on the Sign up! field to open the newsletter registration form. Fill out the form and click on the Sign up! field.

If you want to receive messages tailored just for you, click on the additional field and give us your consent. In this case, Valamar uses data subject profiling to contact and inform you about offers that are tailored just for you. A wide range of personal data is processed for these newsletters.

IMPORTANT! - By sending this form, you are just expressing your interest in participating in the initiative and there is no obligation to participate on either side. In case of agreement, the organizer and Valamar shall conclude a contract governing their mutual relations.

Accommodation

When accommodation is included in the price of a camp, the Organizer shall organize the accommodation and you shall address any inquiries regarding the accommodation to the Organizer.

When accommodation is not included in the price of a camp, we will make a non-binding accommodation recommendation, however, the responsibility for booking the accommodation shall rest solely with you who want to register your child for the children's camp and shall not be linked to the reservation of a place in the children's camp! Please familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions for booking the accommodation you choose!

Please, read the Participants’ Experiences, which we publish in order to provide everyone with credible feedback on the quality of the camps and to enable them to make an informed decision when selecting a programme.

Responsibility of the Organizer

Valamar is not the organiser of children’s camps. The organisers of the children’s camps are solely obliged and responsible for:

• the organization and quality of the camp program and shall ensure that the camp is fully compliant with the published specifications and requirements and that it is fit for purpose;
• the program insurance, including adequate liability, personal injury and property damage coverage. Valamar shall not be liable for any financial or legal consequences resulting from incomplete or insufficient insurance;
• the compliance with the GDPR and shall ensure that, in carrying out the camp, it strictly complies with the applicable regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular with regard to the processing of data of children who are participants in the camp. Valamar shall not be liable for any infringement of the GDPR or other regulations by the Organizer as the controller of the personal data of the camp participants;
• the development and implementation of comprehensive safety protocols to minimize risks for camp participants;
• the development and implementation of the plan in case of extraordinary circumstances (fire, earthquake, etc.)
• communication with persons who have registered for a camp or with camp users from the moment the expression of interest is received, whether they contacted the Organiser directly or completed the form on the Platform which is sent to the Organiser, which includes timely responses to enquiries from Platform users, as well as the handling of all complaints regarding the service provided, and for any incomplete performance of the service arising during the camp itself, including responding to enquiries from the competent authorities.
• any damages caused to the applicants in case of cancellation of the children's camps.

In the event of any questions, requests or potential damage related to the camp itself, users should contact the organiser of the children’s camp directly, as the organiser is solely responsible for the implementation of the programme and for all services related to the camp.

Personal Data Processing

The personal data you provide to us through the web forms you complete are processed on the basis of your consent for the purposes specified with each individual form, as follows:

Camp application:

• Consent – forwarding of data to the organiser of the selected camp, who subsequently processes the personal data as an independent data controller.
• Legitimate interest – sending a questionnaire to your e-mail address regarding your satisfaction with our platform and the selected children’s camp, and analysing the number of applications in order to assess the level of interest in children’s camp offers so that we can improve our service.

Newsletter subsrciption:

Users who have registered for a specific children’s camp via our website may be sent a satisfaction survey. We use these surveys to assess the user experience on our platform and the quality of services provided by camp organizers. Specifically, we collect feedback from interested users on whether they ultimately enrolled in a camp through the organizer they initially applied to via our Platform and, if they did enroll, we encourage them to leave a review.

Reviews, if published on the Platform, increase transparency and build trust in the listed camps, thereby further strengthening the credibility of both the organizers and the platform itself. Additionally, reviews encourage organizers to maintain a high quality of service and help highlight camps with the best experiences and outcomes.

If users did not enroll in a camp, the surveys help us understand the reasons for their decision (e.g., price, schedule, location, or program content). Furthermore, the surveys serve to gather suggestions on which additional camps users would like to see on the platform, allowing us to better assess market interest and guide the expansion of our offerings in line with actual user needs.

The survey results may be processed by us independently or with the assistance of external partners. Certain user comments/reviews may be published on the Platform only with their additional explicit consent.

Where we process your data based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, by sending an e-mail to: info@croatiasummercamp.com. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on the consent before its withdrawal.

Content published on Valamar's Platforms (texts, photos, videos, audio materials, page design, logo, documents, program code, etc.) is protected by copyright and related intellectual property rights of Valamar or third parties, in which case Valamar uses them under another legal basis. All rights are reserved.

In view of the above, it is prohibited to copy, download, reproduce, publicly display, publish or otherwise use the entire content of Valamar's Platforms or part thereof without the prior written permission of Valamar. Unauthorized use of any content of the website, without the permission of the copyright holder, shall be considered a violation of copyright and shall be subject to legal action.

The use of the content of Valamar's Platforms covers the use of content only for personal non-commercial purposes and with respect to all copyright and related intellectual property rights.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PUBLICATION OF CONTENT BY USERS

Users shall take full responsibility for their actions in relation to the Platform, and Valamar shall be fully relieved of any consequences, in particular any possible lawsuits, demands or other claims that would arise from the competent authorities or any third party, resulting from the user's actions. In this case, the user is obliged to take over all possible claims of third parties (which they may have in connection with the user's actions in relation to the Platform) up to the full amount of the damage.

Valamar reserves the right to change, adapt, modify, delete or remove any content deemed inappropriate or contrary to the above rules, as well as the right to block users. Valamar reserves the right to immediately revoke any passwords or user accounts of the user in case of any behaviour of the user that Valamar, at its discretion, deems unacceptable, as well as in any case of non-compliance with the General Terms and Conditions by the user.

DISCLAIMER

We endeavour to keep all content and functionalities on the website timely and accurate; however, we do not guarantee that the use of the website and all its functionalities will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Access to the Platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical operations or the upload of new content. By using the Platform, the user accepts that they do so entirely at their own responsibility. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Valamar shall seek to resolve any disputes related to the use of the Platforms amicably, and we invite users to first always contact Valamar so that we can help solve the issues as soon as possible.

If no agreement is reached, all disputes shall be settled before the competent court at the Valamar headquarters, subject to the application of Croatian law.

Disputes within the European Union concerning online purchases may be settled in the manner specified by the specific terms and conditions for such purchases.

FINAL PROVISIONS

The invalidity of a provision of these General Terms and Conditions shall not render the General Terms and Conditions null and void in its entirety if it can survive without the invalid provision, and such invalidity shall not affect the validity of any other provision of the General Terms and Conditions.

Valamar reserves the right to change the General Terms and Conditions of Valamar's Platforms as well as to change or terminate all or any part of Valamar's Platforms at any time without prior notice, and shall not be responsible for any damage caused by those changes.

Changes shall come into force upon publication on individual Valamar Platforms.
