Spongenious STEM program

Spongenious is a unique educational program on the island of Vis offering interactive STEM workshops for children. Workshop leaders are professors and scientists with extensive experience in their fields. The workshops are designed to introduce children to the natural and cultural riches of the island of Vis through practical experience and theory.

Each workshop lasts 5 hours per day, and over the course of 12 days, participants will explore various topics: aviation, local flora and fauna, underwater archaeology, traditional fishing, and cartography. Each workshop combines hands-on exercises with theoretical knowledge tailored to the children's age group.

In addition to learning about specific subjects, the program develops critical thinking skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Workshops are conducted outdoors whenever possible, allowing children to learn in the island's natural environment. Spongenious offers an unforgettable educational experience that connects science, technology, and the nature of Vis island.
