At The Secrets of 3D Printing camp, imagination becomes reality as children shape, print and transform their ideas into real, tangible objects. Through hands-on experience and creative work, participants learn basics of 3D modeling and 3D printing, while developing spatial thinking, precision and an understanding of design.
Children independently design and model their own 3D objects, such as glasses, personalised keychains, litophan and other accessories, which they print on 3D printers during the camp and take home at the end. Throughout this process, they become familiar with measurement, proportions, planning and limitations of real-world production, with continuous mentors' guidance.
The additional value is provided through developmentally stimulating activities during breaks, designed to help children maintain focus, energy and motivation throughout the day:
Driving simulator – use of a realistic driving simulator with mini competitions focused on safe and efficient driving
Physical activities and reaction games – hanging endurance, high jump competition, running speed and reaction games using robots and sensors developed at Robokacija
Escape Room challenges – daily logic puzzles and team challenges based on smart devices and robots.
The camp programme is based on project-based learning, with a strong emphasis on creativity, problem-solving and teamwork. In addition to learning how to use technology, children build confidence in their own ideas and gain understanding of how the products they use in everyday life are created.
At the end of the camp, all participants receive:
a certificate of completion for the Robokacija STEM Camp, the 3D printed objects they made, as a lasting keepsake and proof of the knowledge and skills they acquired.
Robokacija is a place where children stop simply using technology and start creating it. Through our five-year curriculum and projects ranging from a smart lamp and robots to the Internet of Things, AI, hovercrafts and drones, we build independence (Montessori) alongside structure, hard work and discipline – so that each child truly understands what they are doing and can proudly present their prototype. Ten years of experience, a 5.0 Google rating, industry partners such as Rimac Group and gold medals for children’s innovations confirm: the system works.
